Job Description
Responsibilities
- Strategic Sourcing: Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with organizational goals.
- Supplier Management: Identify, evaluate, and manage relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure quality, compliance, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery.
- Contract Negotiation: Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers to secure advantageous terms.
- Production Planning: Coordinate production schedules with material availability to ensure timely and efficient order fulfillment.
- Inventory Optimization: Collaborate with inventory and production teams to ensure optimal stock levels and reduce waste.
- Warehouse & Logistics Management: Manage warehouse operations and logistics to ensure accurate inventory, efficient storage, and timely distribution of goods while ensuring safety and compliance with standards and best practices.
- Risk Management: Monitor market trends and assess potential supply risks; develop contingency plans to mitigate disruptions.
- Compliance: Ensure all procurement activities comply with legal and regulatory requirements, as well as internal policies.
- Cost Control: Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness.
- Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate procurement processes and systems to increase efficiency and accuracy.
- Team Leadership: Supervise and support procurement staff, promoting professional development and high performance.
- Ad-hoc Support – Assist with departmental tasks and projects on an ad-hoc basis to support business priorities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Proven experience (5+ years) in a procurement or purchasing role, with at least 2 years in a managerial capacity.
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
- Proficiency with procurement software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and decision-making capabilities.
- Willing to travel frequently or based in Vietnam preferred.
- Professional certifications (e.g., CIPS, CPM, CPSM) are a plus.
