Job Description

We are looking for a DevSecOps Engineer to help design, automate, and secure our cloud-based delivery platform.

In this role, you will work on cloud infrastructure, CI/CD automation, secure deployment practices, and developer enablement. You will collaborate closely with development, SRE, and cross-functional teams to improve deployment reliability, platform consistency, security, and engineering productivity.

This role is suitable for someone who enjoys building practical automation, improving delivery workflows, and helping teams release software faster and more safely.

Responsibilities

Your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Cloud Platform & Infrastructure

  • Design, build, and manage cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure-as-Code, reusable modules, and environment templates.

  • Ensure consistent, scalable, secure, and cost-efficient across environments.

Automation & Release Engineering

  • Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated build, test, deployment, and artifact promotion.

  • Standardize release workflows and improve deployment reliability.

  • Build automation scripts and self-service capabilities to improve productivity and deployment efficiency.

DevSecOps & Compliance

  • Integrate security controls into CI/CD pipelines, including SAST, DAST, and dependency scanning.

  • Manage secrets, access control, secure configuration, and compliance with internal/customer security policies.

  • Support continuous improvement of secure software delivery practices.

Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

  • Work with development, SRE, and cross-functional teams to improve operational readiness, scalability, observability, and maintainability.

  • Provide practical recommendations and promote good DevOps and DevSecOps practices across teams.

Qualifications

We are looking for candidates who demonstrate:

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent practical experience.

  • At least 3 years of experience in DevOps, DevSecOps, platform engineering, cloud infrastructure, or related roles.

Required Technical Skills

  • Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or other cloud services, including compute, networking, storage, and security fundamentals.

  • Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar.

  • Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitLab CI, or similar.

  • Good scripting or programming skills using Python, Bash, PowerShell, or similar.

  • Experience automating build, test, deployment, and operational workflows.

  • Familiarity with artifact repositories, deployment promotion, and release traceability.

  • Experience with Docker and understanding of Kubernetes or container orchestration.

  • Understanding of microservices and cloud-native deployment patterns.

  • Strong Linux system administration and networking knowledge, including VPC, NAT, VPN, routing, DNS, firewall rules, and security groups.

  • Understanding of DevSecOps practices, secure CI/CD, secrets management, access control, vulnerability scanning, and secure configuration.

  • Exposure to AI-assisted DevOps, AIOps, log analysis, automation assistants, or AI-based developer productivity tools.

  • Good in English communication skills and ability to work with development, operations, security, and project teams.

Nice-to-have

  • Experience with observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, CloudWatch, or similar.

  • Familiarity with SRE practices, high-availability systems, incident response, and post-incident review.

  • Experience with cloud cost optimization, cloud governance, or regulated environments.

  • CI/CD pipelines are stable, reliable, and adopted by development teams.

  • Infrastructure is standardized, reproducible, and easier to manage.

  • Deployments are automated with minimal manual intervention.

  • Development teams can build, test, and release applications with higher confidence.

  • Platform security, scalability, compliance, and operational readiness are continuously improved.

Screening

Applications are shortlisted and reviewed. Suitable candidates undergo a brief phone screening to discuss their background, experiences, and career goals. This step ensures compatibility with our development orientation and culture. Screening calls typically occur 5-7 days after application submission. 

Technical Interview

Shortlisted candidates are invited for technical interviews, either in person or online. Applicants in Singapore may need to complete an Application Form before the interview. During the technical interview, candidates demonstrate their expertise, professional background, and problem-solving abilities. The interview lasts 1 to 1.5 hours. 

Culture-Fit Interview

Following the technical interview, candidates proceed to the culture-fit interview round, which focuses on alignment with our cultural values. This stage involves behavioral questions and lasts about 30 minutes.

Reference checks are conducted for security-related roles only. The team uses 1 to 3 contact details provided by the candidate, and the outcomes serve as references in the decision-making process. 

Final Decision

The team evaluates the applicant based on all information gathered. Candidates are informed of the results within 7 days after the final round, except in special cases. If not chosen, your information will be retained for 6 months for potential future opportunities. All applicants will receive a thank-you email acknowledging their interest and effort.
