Job Description
Responsibilities
We are seeking a detail-oriented and independent Service Technician to join our dynamic team. The primary focus of the role shall be security-focused Key Injection whereby you will execute cryptographic key injection for our payment terminals and IoT hardware. You will be the frontline operator responsible for securely loading encryption keys, digital certificates, and secure firmware onto devices within our secured environment. Your primary focus will be maintaining the integrity, compliance, and strict chain of custody for all cryptographic materials.
The role shall also take on a secondary role in assisting the service team on the daily operations of various projects which includes onboarding and preparation of terminals, assisting on technical support and to cover for other activities to assist other Service team members, when required.
Responsibilities
- Execute Key Injection: Perform daily cryptographic key injection, loading, and device initialization on payment terminals (POS) and IoT hardware according to strict operational scripts.
- Operate Security Hardware: Securely interface with Hardware Security Modules (HSMs), Key Management Systems (KMS), and localized injection jigs or stations.
- Maintain Chain of Custody: Strictly follow dual-control procedures, split-knowledge protocols, and physical security measures to protect master keys and components.
- Audit & Documentation: Maintain flawless, real-time audit logs of serial numbers, injected keys, and production yields. Report any anomalies immediately.
- Compliance Adherence: Operate in rigorous compliance with financial and industrial standards, specifically PCI PIN, PCI P2PE, and relevant IoT security frameworks.
- Equipment Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve basic hardware connectivity issues, cable faults, or script failures at the injection station.
- Service Operation Activities: Assist in the onboarding and preparation of new customer terminals, onsite/remote support coverage when required as backup to existing Service Team members.
Qualifications
- No experience required, training will be provided
- Candidates with courses of study in Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering or relevant and/or working experience in similar roles will be advantageous
- Good computer literacy – able to use common productivity software (e.g. Excel, Words), navigate email and messaging platforms (e.g. Google Chat)
- Comfortable with repetitive routines and able to work under pressure/ tight schedule.
- Ability to prioritize tasks based on urgency and importance.
- Able and willing to work after-hours and/or weekends during peak production demand/ period.
- Responsible and positive learning attitude.
- Fluent in English, written and verbal is a must.
