Job Description
Responsibilities
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Sourcing and Supplier Quality Specialist to join our team in China. The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing competitive products and parts, ensuring supplier quality compliance, and collaborating with cross-functional teams local and overseas to support our electronics manufacturing operations in China and South East Asia.
Key Responsibilities
Supplier Sourcing
- Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, cost, and delivery performance.
- Conduct market research to identify new sources for components and materials.
Supplier Quality Management
- Develop and implement supplier quality assurance processes and standards.
- Conduct supplier audits and assessments to ensure compliance with quality specifications and industry standards.
- Collaborate with suppliers to resolve quality issues and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Collaboration with Internal Teams
- Work closely with procurement, engineering, and QA/production teams to define product specifications and quality requirements.
- Act as a liaison between suppliers and internal stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
Documentation and Reporting
- Maintain accurate records of supplier performance metrics, audits, and quality reports.
- Prepare and present findings and recommendations to management regarding supplier performance and quality improvements.
Risk Management
- Identify and assess potential risks in the supply chain and develop mitigation strategies.
- Monitor and analyze market trends and changes that may impact sourcing strategies.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering preferably in Mechanical/Electronics, Quality Assurance, or a related field.
Experience
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in sourcing, supplier quality engineering, or related roles, preferably in the electronics manufacturing sector.
- Proven track record of managing supplier relationships and driving quality improvements.
Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with proficiency in English and Mandarin to liaise with China stakeholders (e.g. colleague(s), vendors, suppliers) as the role is based in China.
- Familiarity with tools (e.g., Six Sigma, FMEA, SPC) and tolerance analysis.
- Proficient in conducting tolerance stacks to assess how variations in part dimensions affect the overall assembly, fit and function.

- Operational Efficiency: Smooth daily office operations with well-maintained facilities, minimal disruption to workflows, and timely vendor/procurement management within budget.
- Administrative & Financial Accuracy: Timely processing of operating expenses in coordination with finance, precise expense tracking, and organized physical and digital records.
- Compliance & Quality Management: High standard of document control and ISO/regulatory compliance, ensuring successful audits and adherence to safety standards.
- Stakeholder Satisfaction & Service Excellence: Positive feedback from internal staff and management on communication, event execution, calendar management, and onboarding support.
