Job Description

Responsibilities

We are looking for a commercially driven and entrepreneurial professional to support the company’s Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) Standard Payment Institution (SPI) license application while leading strategic growth and partnership initiatives across our fintech and SaaS ecosystem. As our Strategic Growth & Partnerships Manager, reporting to our Chief Fintech Officer, you will play a key role in building relationships with payment schemes, sponsor banks, financial institutions, payment service providers, and institutional partners to establish scalable and commercially viable payment solutions across Singapore and Asia.

In addition to supporting the development of our fintech ecosystem, you will drive business growth for our SaaS platforms within the education and institutional sectors by developing strategic client relationships, identifying regional expansion opportunities, and commercialising integrated fintech and digital solutions. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-moving environments, enjoys navigating ambiguity, and is excited by the opportunity to help build and scale a fintech business alongside its MAS licensing journey.

1. Fintech Ecosystem Development & Strategic Partnerships
  • Support the company’s MAS Standard Payment Institution (SPI) license application and ecosystem development initiatives.
  • Develop and manage relationships with payment schemes, sponsor banks, financial institutions, payment service providers (PSPs), and industry partners.
  • Establish and expand strategic partnerships for card issuance, embedded finance, and institutional payment programs.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment with Payment Services Act (PS Act) requirements and operational compliance considerations.
2. Business Growth & Enterprise Solution Sales
  • Drive business growth for the company’s SaaS and integrated payment solutions across education and institutional sectors.
  • Develop and manage strategic relationships with international schools, tertiary institutions, healthcare operators, and enterprise clients.
  • Identify and commercialise opportunities for co-branded payment solutions, campus payment ecosystems, and digital financial services offerings.
  • Manage customer engagement, account growth, and long-term partnership development.
3. Regional Expansion & Partner Enablement
  • Identify, establish, and manage regional business and service partners to support overseas expansion initiatives.
  • Collaborate with financial institutions and local partners to scale fintech and institutional payment programs across regional markets.
  • Support partner enablement, operational coordination, and client success initiatives in overseas markets.
  • Contribute to the development of scalable regional partnership frameworks and growth strategies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Information Technology, or a related field. 
  • Min 5 years in fintech, payments, or banking partnerships.
  • Sales Experience: At least 3 years in B2B SaaS, ideally EduTech or Healthcare.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Understands the Payment Services Act (PS Act) and can appreciate associated risks (AML, transaction monitoring, safeguarding, scheme rules).
  • Network: Familiar with Visa/Mastercard scheme rules, acquiring/issuing processes, or PSP landscapes.
  • Track Record: Proven success in solution selling to institutions (schools, hospitals, or multi-site operators).
  • Regional Mindset: Ability to navigate diverse Asian markets and build professional relationships with local partners, financial institutions, and school decision-makers.
  • Entrepreneurial comfort: Thrives in ambiguity (we are pre-MAS license and building concurrently).
  • Institutional Sales Exposure: Experience pitching payment solutions to schools, universities, or campus operators is a strong advantage.
  • Excellent negotiation, presentation, cross-functional collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

Added Advantage:

  • Card Manufacturing Exposure (Preferred): Some familiarity with cards personalization – their product cycles, certification requirements, or commercial models.
  • Ability to speak Mandarin or other Asian languages will be a strong plus for regional partner discussions.

What measures the success of the role: 

  •   Effective facilitation of the MAS SPI licensing process and securing at least one strategic scheme partnerships
  •   Establish commercial relationship with at least 1 major card manufacturer (e.g., Thales, Idemia) for pilot issuance 
  •   Established 2 partnerships (with LOI) international schools or tertiary institutions for co-branded/closed-loop card issuance programs – originated a TeraBite engagement
  •   Established comprehensive risk evaluations ensuring full alignment with PS Act mandates, including AML and asset protection protocols.
  •   Onboard new partners for TeraBite in Singapore or Asia with achievement of set sales revenue.

Screening

Applications are shortlisted and reviewed. Suitable candidates undergo a brief phone screening to discuss their background, experiences, and career goals. This step ensures compatibility with our development orientation and culture. Screening calls typically occur 5-7 days after application submission. 

Technical Interview

Shortlisted candidates are invited for technical interviews, either in person or online. Applicants in Singapore may need to complete an Application Form before the interview. During the technical interview, candidates demonstrate their expertise, professional background, and problem-solving abilities. The interview lasts 1 to 1.5 hours. 

Culture-Fit Interview

Following the technical interview, candidates proceed to the culture-fit interview round, which focuses on alignment with our cultural values. This stage involves behavioral questions and lasts about 30 minutes.

Reference checks are conducted for security-related roles only. The team uses 1 to 3 contact details provided by the candidate, and the outcomes serve as references in the decision-making process. 

Final Decision

The team evaluates the applicant based on all information gathered. Candidates are informed of the results within 7 days after the final round, except in special cases.
